We know that continued training and experience are vital to the success of our business here at Barnes of Lincoln, and are committed to ensuring that all of our staff achieve the necessary industry standards to keep them at the very top of their profession. That way, we’re certain that our clients will continue to have the utmost confidence in our business and our team, both now and in the future.
As such, on 21st February 2013, sixteen of our drivers undertook their compulsory Certificate of Professional Competence in an annual training day at Fort Barnes. Hosted by David Hookins of Bridge Removals Training in Saltash, the team was instructed in a range of safe and responsible driving techniques, including the following:
• Preparation of both vehicle and load for a journey
• Safe driving and control of LGVs
• Driving in accordance with the Highway Code
• Driving safely and responsibly
• Reviewing and adjusting driving behaviour
Each of the team agreed that the level of training given was the most detailed they’d received since passing their LGV driving test, and wanted to say thank you to David for his informative and very entertaining delivery of the course!
